The San Antonio River Basin's Watersheds

Watersheds are a huge part of our lives — providing clean drinking water and places to enjoy the outdoors. But where water flows in San Antonio, so does trash. That’s a warning sign of more serious problems — trash is only the most visible pollutant affecting our watersheds.

The San Antonio River is comprised of 5 major watersheds; however, our mission recognizes the Westside Creeks as a sub-watershed of our river basin.
