Watershed Clean-Up

River Aid San Antonio hosts 30 watershed clean-ups throughout year all over the San Antonio River Basin. We focus our clean-ups on the San Antonio River, its tributary creeks, and their respective watersheds.

Supporting Programs

Water Quality Monitoring

River Aid San Antonio manages a water quality monitoring program as a local participant in the Texas Stream Team initiative. Trained volunteers conduct monthly monitoring visits across the San Antonio River Basin. Contact us to inquire about training and water quality monitoring opportunities.

Lorence Creek Preserve

River Aid San Antonio adopted stewardship responsibilities of Lorence Creek Preserve, a green infrastructure retrofit established by the Greater Edwards Aquifer Alliance (GEAA). Our volunteer work ensures the site’s features continue to slow runoff and increase infiltration to underground aquifers.
